Benjamin Age: 17 Benjamin is not a very open fellow, often times trying to keep people from getting to know him. However he only does this for their safety, as there is a malevolent being living inside him. He walks a lonely road carrying this heavy burden. He may not be a very upbeat person, but he is very kind and cares greatly about others. It is easy for him to become worried and panic over things.

Elizabeth Eldenburg Age: 12 Elizabeth is a bold and energetic young girl who’s always out exploring places. She’s very playful, and hardly ever seen in a serious mood. She often looks on the bright side of things, and is always willing to make friends. Once she’s set her mind to something, she won’t give up until she achieves her goal. She may be young, but she can be pretty clever.

Volmeer Age: 324 Volmeer is the entity living in Benjamin, and is infamously known for his destructive powers. Currently unable to cause any damage to the physical world, he uses Ben as a vessel in hopes that one day he might escape and demolish the world. He is extremely sarcastic and bitter, and has an immense hatred of human beings.

Madeline Hopkinson Age: 13 Madeline is Elizabeth’s best friend and has a bright and cheerful disposition. The kids at school may pick on her, but she still tries to be friendly. She likes to help people and is very loyal to those she’s close to, but is a bit naive. Deeply fascinated by the world and magical beings, she likes to research these topics.

Susan Eldenburg Age: 59 Susan might seem like some stiff old woman with her being a librarian and all, but that is far from the truth. She is a very welcoming and warm person, and cares greatly about others’ safety and well-being. She is Elizabeth’s legal guardian and is not very strict on her, but also not too lenient. She owns a tomcat named Pascal, who she took in from off the streets a few years ago. He now lives a content life as Susan’s and Elizabeth’s pet. He’s pretty calm, and doesn’t get into a whole lot of trouble. He is 5 years old.

Rowan Broadbent Age: 81 Rowan is an older gentleman who runs a small library in the woods that also functions as his house. Once a wizard, he is now retired and his library is filled with magical documents he managed to obtain throughout his life. The creature next to him is his vrisimi. What exactly is a vrisimi? Find out here. Her name is Clover and she is Rowan's assistant, so to speak. She is sent out to search for documents to bring back to Rowan to add to his library. She’s usually calm, and very obedient and loyal to Rowan. She is 40 years old.
